Janette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience in outpatient mental health and 12 years experience in private practice. This includes hospital social work, child abuse and neglect, women’s issues, adoption advocacy, grief and loss support and community mental health. Her efforts have included support of persons suffering from spouse abuse, sexual abuse survivors, as well as with parents working toward adoption.
Janette goes on work sites to conduct critical incident debriefings in catastrophic events, such as bank robberies, suicides, murders, and major employment layoffs.
Janette is a supreme court certified family mediator. In her current practice, she specializes in counseling in several areas. These areas include couples’ issues, women’s issues, grief and loss, child and adolescent issues, mood disorders, Christian counseling as well as sexual abuse survivor’s support and treatment. She is also a provider for several employment assistance programs for various insurance companies. She also performs custody and adoption studies. She is a former provider for NFL players. She is also a counselor for Law Enforcement.
Janette utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach. This includes cognitive behavioral, family and goal-oriented techniques. The patient’s first appointment is an evaluation and treatment planning session.
